It goes without saying that anytime someone says I never want to find my mate they are hurrying their own destiny. Toby was just trying to protect his heart and life by discouraging Thomas's advances. But the way Thomas treated Toby was deplorable. He was with him for the sex and didn't understand when he was being embarrassing or that his expectations were too high for a very inexperienced young man who had missed out on so much in life. He never gave Toby the benefit of the doubt. It was ... "all wizards are evil!" He treated Roman's mate better than he did his own. There were terrible consequences because of his negativity toward his mate. Still I would recommend this book and the series as a whole.

This book was great just like the other two. I was extremely exited when this book came out and now that I have read this one....... I can't wait for the next!
Emotional abuse is the worse kind of abuse, I think. Toby was never good enough in his parents eyes and therefore as an adult he thought he wasn't good enough. However, Thomas showed and proved to Toby that he was everything and more in his eyes. So sweet, loving and touching therefore earning this book a 5.
